Why Fear When God's Grace Is There

Scriptures state the greatness of the Almighty; despite that, there are incalculable people who struggle to believe in the grace of God. These countless people who indulge in the heinousness of sins every day are forced to question, “Does God really love His children?”

Now, as our awareness and our hatred of sins increase, we yearn for a biblical view on the Lord’s grace. We earnestly need the Scriptures to fill us in on who the Lord is and how much does He love His children. In short, we need to see the Lord in the Scriptures because that’ll blow our mind and that’ll bring us to repentance and tears.

What do We Think of Lord?

The Israelites, in Micah 6:6–7, give a view of the Lord. In the verses from one to five, the Lord rebukes us tenderly and asks, “What have I done to you?” He reminds the great unwashed as to how He has protected them from the hands of Egypt.

Further, the response (which could be found in verses 6–7) is strangely familiar.

With what shall I come before the LORD, and bow myself before God on high? Shall I come before him with burnt offerings, with calves a year old? Will the LORD be pleased with thousands of rams, with ten thousands of rivers of oil? Shall I give my first born for my transgression, the fruit of my body for the sin of my soul?

Rather than responding in gratitude, these people exposed themselves. With such a response, they haplessly paint a picture of the Lord that shows Him to be cruel and demanding.

The Lord’s Grace

Unlike the man’s grace, the Lord’s grace is unalloyed and flows rhythmically. However, many have failed to perceive this grace because their views get affected by their own sinful, broken experiences.

It’s difficult to find out someone who can truly embody Lord’s divine grace. The God’s grace is perfect and, to date, unmatched when it comes to giving and even forgiving. The Lord’s grace is so perfect because neither is He motivated by His sins nor is He disabled by His ignorance.
