The most prolific house building era in British history has got to be in Victorian times.  Most of our towns and cities have copious examples of this architecture still evident.

These houses are often very spacious with high ceilings and they are the perfect place to bring up children as there is plenty of room for every member of the family to have their own space.

Although this type of architecture is very austere, these days these properties are very much in demand as they are essentially built to last.

You can either modernise the interior to blend in with contemporary living or you can update them in period style, the possibilities are endless.

If you should subject them to a DIY project the central heating may also need seeing to.  In the old days these systems were initially steam powered and they used to make much noise.  There are good replicas of the old heaters available, but if you want a more contemporary look then Vogue radiators are worth investigating.  This manufacturer is a wholly independent British design company of which there are not too many around these days.

Although this company produces radiators of all kinds, they have an extensive range of heated towel rails on offer.  These particular heaters have become very popular since the 1980s when they first appeared in the market place.

They are especially useful when installed in the bathroom or kitchen area as they will keep your towels dry in whatever weather.  Although these radiators can be added to your central heating system, there are also electrical and dual fuel ones available.  The electric heaters are economical to run as they will only use the equivalent of one light bulb in energy.

The dual fuel models may be the best option to have fitted.  They will run on your heating system  the winter, but when that is shut down in the summer months you will still have warm and dry towels all year round.

If you have a look around on the internet you will see that this particular company has something available for any style of interior decorating.  You might even find that your Victorian theme will look good with a modern touch here and there.

These days even the smallest rooms can be heated successfully as vertical radiators have made their entrance.  These can be placed on any small wall space without loss of efficiency.  Their heating surface will be just as large as the horizontal heaters you used to find underneath windows.

If you choose one of these vertical types, it would be nice if you treated it as a focal point.
There are many heaters available that look very much like a modern piece of art.

It must be stressed that radiators of this kind are often quite expensive to buy but you are purchasing a focal point that will be much talked about amongst your friends and family.

You do not have to travel far on the internet to find Vogue radiators; for a fair selection please go to Designerradiatorsdirect.
