Royal Arch Masonry and Its Functioning

Royal Arch Freemasonry is a part of the York Rite and its members meet as a Chapter. The Royal Arch Masonic degrees are divided into the below four categories:

Royal Arch Mason

Freemasonry is not a religion and gives due regard to the religious beliefs of its members. This fraternity believes in the Fatherhood of God, Brotherhood of Man, and the Immortality of the Human Soul. The members are taught to be the brothers in deed.

The Chapters are ruled by three principals collectively for the period of one year. Every year, an installation meeting is done for appointing the team of new principals. There are various ceremonies in the Royal Arch Freemasonry. The exaltation ceremony happens to welcome the new members and the installation ceremony for appointing each of the three principals. The exaltation ceremony is carried out in two parts; the dramatic representation which is followed by three lectures.

Who can join Royal Arch Masonry?

A Mason is entitled to join the Royal Arch when he has attained the rank of a Master Mason after a period of four weeks in standing. The degree of Master Mason is fully completed when the Mason has been exalted into the Royal Arch Chapter. The members of Royal Arch Masonry are known as Companions. These Chapters meet independently to Lodges and all the rituals are performed as an allegory.

Royal Arch Regalia

The regalia of Royal Arch Masonry are almost similar to that of Craft Masonry. The regalia comprises of an apron that has red and blue surround with a sash in red and blue color. Also, there is a special jewel that the members wear in their Craft Lodges to signify the bond that the Royal Arch and Craft Masonry shares.
