These printers are extremely compact and are very easy to use as they don’t even require the regular consumables like inks, dyes or ribbons. However, you need to be careful about the kind of thermal paper you purchase in the market because many producers of thermal paper use BPA (Bisphenol A) in the coating. Exposure to BPA is known to be harmful to humans as it can cause serious conditions like cancer, and disorder of lungs and kidney in addition to other ailments.

Different thermal paper roll sizes

Because of the different kinds of POS applications of thermal paper there are different sizes of the paper rolls that are available. Most manufacturers allow the option of customized size printing rolls that are needed for specific kind of messages. For instance if the dimensions of a paper roll are 57mm x 25 meters or 57mm x 30 meters it means 57 mm is the diameter of the roll while 25 meters or 30 meters are the variable lengths of the two types of rolls. Customers order such rolls as per their requirement.
