Important variant of POS billing paper
Thermal paper has a chemical coating on the side to be printed, also known as the substrate. In view of recent research on the nature of this chemical coating on the thermal paper, it has now come to light that a chemical solvent known as BPA (Bisphenol A) is used in the process of thermal coating of the paper. All research done on BPA speaks of the harmful effects it can have on humans who are exposed to it for a prolonged period of time. Unfortunately, most POS paper roll suppliers still haven’t taken it seriously and are still selling thermal paper with BPA coating without bothering to inform buyers about the preventive healthcare measures before handling such paper.
