ICF PCC coaching to set you up for success as a professional life coach

by Powerhouse Coaching ICF certified mentor coach

Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credential by the International Coaching Federation (ICF) is the second level of credentialing provided by ICF. Credentialing can be obtained by three different application paths, viz.

  • ACTP Path (Accredited Coach Training Program)
  • ACSTH Path (Accredited Coach Specific Training Hours), and
  • Portfolio Path

The credentialing process takes a life coach through coach-specific training and education. The credential demonstrates the coach has demonstrated comprehensive knowledge and skills, is competent in demonstrating ethical standards in their coaching profession, and can handle a variety of behavioral and attitudinal issues while working with clients.

ICF has set up guidelines and requirements for PCC. In order to become an ICF PCC, the applicant should:

  • Complete 125 hours of coach-specific education as defined by ICF
  • Possess 500 hours of client coaching experience with at least 25 clients, out of which 450 hours be paid
  • 10 hours of mentor coaching by a qualified PCC or MCC (Master Certified Coach)
  • Submit a performance review of 2 recorded coaching sessions
