National Entrepreneurship Network (NEN) had recently organized an
event in collaboration with Heritage Business School to conduct the Entrepreneurship
Week. Starting from 20th February, the event went on till 27th February 2016 where
numerous educational institutes participated to successfully show off their
entrepreneurial skills. Heritage Business School had able and tough competition
from institutions like Adamas International School, Calcutta Business School,
Globsyn Business School, Indian Institute of Social Welfare and Business
Management (IISWBM), Institute of Engineering and Management, Shri Shikshayatan
College and University of Engineering and Management in the eastern region. In spite
of all that, Heritage Business School came up trumps and successfully won three
awards, namely,
Highest Impact Institute Award,
E-Week Champion Award
E-Week Premier Impact Award – Star Faculty – awarded to Dr. Rimu
Chaudhuri.
Hard Work Of The Students
The opening day of E-Week 2016 was inaugurated by none other than
the Dean of the institute who also looked over the facilities on avail. The students
were the hosts of the day and the event was conducted by them without a glitch.
The guests of the inaugural ceremony were Mr. Abhishek Rungta, CEO, Indusnet
Technologies and Mr. Nitesh Sood, an ex-student of Heritage Business School.
Some presentations were given by the students through which they brought to
fore their entrepreneurial ideas. They were judged by a panelist where their talents
and ideas were recognized.

The students had put up stalls on everything like books, beauty,
handicraft and food which showed their enthusiasm and zeal. Prof. Malay
Banerjee was with the students like a pillar of strength and encouraged the students
in every endeavor. The students also met
some eminent personalities like Ms. Chumki Chatterjee, Patrabharati
Publications, Ms. Shimanti Das, Managing Trustee of Schools of the World,
Kolkata, Mr. Aman from Bangladesh – Film Artist and renowned entrepreneur,
Ms. Sharbari
Datta, fashion designer and Ms. Reshmi Chatterjee, Curator, Halo
Heritage. There was an informal interaction between the students and the
visitors that gave them immeasurable confidence.

School Recognized For Its Efforts
5th March 2016 saw the nervous students getting rewarded for their
hard work at the Swami Vivekananda Auditorium inside the Heritage Business
School premises. On this day, the 9th NEN E-Week Grand Finale 2016 was
organized where Heritage Business School got three awards. The start was very inspiring
because Shri H. P. Budhia, Chairman, Patton Industries and Chairman, Heritage
Business School gave the opening speech. It was the volunteers as well who got
recognized and rewarded, making the occasion a success. The 12 enterprising students
were called on the dias and presented with a book as a token of appreciation.
The best part of the win was that Heritage Business School won the
awards after beating 3500 academic institutes encompassing 45 cities, 1500
events and 8 lakh participants. All the institutes within the folds of the Heritage
group had participated in the NEN week and had between them 45 entrepreneurial
ideas.
