conducted to sharpen the public speaking skills of those students who failed to

little inside in order to be reborn and rise again as a stronger and wiser
version of you” just as the Phoenix bird. The first level of the event was held on 26th November,
2015 and it has been indeed a successful one. But it was just a tip of the
iceberg for the students as in the second level the competition got even
tougher. Presentation on given companies, considering them as possible
recruiter for their respective companies have been the challenge. Company names
were given to the students, who qualified for second level after the end of 1stlevel and the toiling begun.

2015 at the campus of Bengal Institute of Business Studies. Eminent corporate
person Mr. T Gopalaswamy was the guest judge of the event. All the students put
up their best efforts. Some individual performances impressed the judges. Six

Importance of Communication Skill
Mr. Biswajoy Kumar Das Head Marketing
Traction Exide when asked about the brand spoke about his views on
communication. “Communication skill is very important. It is a process where you
can communicate what you want, to your customers too. As we all need to have a
basic knowledge of English but at the same time you need to be well versed in
your regional or vernacular language. By the term, communication skill, many
people misunderstand that knowing fluent English is mandatory, but basically
communication skill means how you are transferring your words from your brain
to your mouth and the fluency in your delivery. Your thoughts can be in any
language. Thus, communication skill is a very powerful tool indeed.”
BIBS
regularly conduct events to groom the students and make them ready for the
industry. The communication and presentation skills and grooming are also the
focal points which are very much necessary for a student. Phoenix has been one
such initiative that will help the students in the long run and will make them
good leaders with excellent public speaking skills.
