Geneen has once opined that “The five essential skills for success are concentration, discrimination, organization, innovation and communication.” Success is not easy to achieve, it requires the right skill and stamina. India is a country which is said to have the maximum number of youths aged within 25 in the next few years or so. Herein comes PMKVY, a commendable initiative taken up by Narendra Modi, the Prime Minister of India to make skilled youths of which the nation can be proud of in the future. SLIEM Skills like is one such skill development institute of India, that has been successfully providing this opportunity to the youths of India. The tale of success is not always easy, let’s check out some of the inspiring stories.
A Young Electrician‘s
Journey to Success
This is a story of a youth whose family had a meager income of 2K per
month. An assistant of his father, a watch repairer, meet Swajan Koley, who is
now an employee of a reputed private organization and is earning 7k per month.
After enrolling to SLIEM skills, he has been trained for 45 days as an
Electrician, level3. Not only the family has received a better lifestyle, but
he has been employed after successful completion of his course. When asked
about what he feels about this achievement, the confident boy says, “SLIEM has
changed my life altogether.”
A Security
Guard’s Tale of Success
Prasanta Barman has a fascinating tale to tell. This not only speaks
about his endurance towards the hardships of life but also the success that he
has achieved. Heralding from a poor family that had nine members including him,
he knew from his childhood that he has to act a support for his family and thus
he left school.
After coming across the PMKVY
scheme, he enrolled himself to SLIEM Skills and has received a training of 30
days for unarmed security guard level 1. He has been a good student and fared
well. After successful completion of the course, he bagged a handsome job with
benefits like PF and ESI. Tears roll down as he shares his success story. He
says, “If it was not for SLIEM, I would still remain as a class2 illiterate
without any hope for a career.”
Story of a
Plumber
An unemployed youth bags a handsome job with a salary of Rs 8000, in
just 45days. You might feel, this is a dream but this is actually the story of
Ashu Baral! Son of a vegetable seller, he didn’t have any formal education as
such. Learning about PMKVY act, he joined a 6 week training session as Plumber
Helper Level1. Ashu wishes to go abroad to Gulf Countries to continue his
career and SLIEM Skills encourages these young hearts always and will continue
to do so.
