Graduate Record Exam: Registration process, latest update and Exam type

Graduate Record Exam is one of the popular assessment tests for grad study programmers conducted by the Educational Testing Agency. Students, who are seeking admission in MBA and other master courses, have to appear in this exam with good marks. GRE is accepted by the 1200 universities of more than 160 countries across the globe. Also, it is conducted on 1000 exam centers.

Type of GRE Exam?

Graduate Record Examination is basically two types. It named as GRE General Test and GRE Subject Test.

1. Graduate Record Examination general test - Students who want to get admission in Master of Science courses offered by various universities in the world, have to appear GRE General Test. In this test, students have to solve questions related to analytics writing, quantitative ability, and verbal reasoning abilities. Every year a large number of students apply for this and the reason behind it is getting admission in desired courses offered by foreign universities.
   
   
2. GRE Subject Test-This test is particularly designed to test the abilities of students in a particular course. Knowledge in Mathematics, English, physics, biology, chemistry, and other famous courses will be separately tested. Students can choose their desired test subject to get admission in their desired subject-wise course. 

GRE Registration process

To appear in the exam, students have to complete the registration for Graduate record Examination by visiting the official website of the examination conducting body. Here is the step by step process to do successful registration.

1. Visit the official website of the Educational testing Agency and create an account over there using your personal and academics details.
2. In the next step, select the GRE exam type from GRE General Test or subject test. 
3. Now select the exam center and time slot, which fits according to your preferences
4. You have to provide the details like the name of the candidate, phone number, email ID, and etc.
5. At last, students have to pay the fee of registration by using the online method. The fee is USD 213. 

GRE Latest update

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, ETS allowed students to appear in the GRE test by reaching the nearest exam centers or home center. In that case, students have to arrange all hardware required for the GRE Exam. The ETS has given complete information about the home-based GRE Exam.
