The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class is a 5-door subcompact luxury crossover SUV produced from December 2013 up to the present. The Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class comes with a front-engine, front-wheel-drive / all-wheel-drive 4Matic system and is now in its second generation which was released in 2019. 

First-Generation 

The first-generation Mercedes-Benz GLA-Class X156 was produced in 2013 and comes in a design related to the A-Class (W176), the CLA-Class (C117), B-Class ( W246), and Infiniti QX30. The first generation is powered by a 6-speed manual and 7-speed DCT automatic transmission, with petrol engine options including the GLA 180 and GLA 200 with a 1.6L, the GLA 220 4MATIC, GLA 250, GLA250 4MATIC, GLA 45 4MATIC AMG, and Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC comes in a 2.0L. The diesel engines include the GLA 180d with a 1.5L and the GLA 200d, GLA 200d 4Matic, GLA 220d, and the GLA 220d 4Matic with a 2.1L.

Second-Generation 

The second-generation H247 started in December 2019 with some changes including a change in the chassis name to H-prefix. The design is similar to the A-Class (W177, V177, Z177), CLA-Class (C118, X118), B-Class (W247), and GLB-Class (X247) with petrol and diesel engines along with a 7-speed DCT automatic and 8-speed DCT automatic transmission. The H247 comes with a coupe-esque style with a wheelbase extension of 30 mm but offers more space. The petrol engines come in GLA 200 with 1.3L, the GLA 250 with 2.0L, the GLA 250 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG GLA 35 4MATIC, Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 4MATIC+ and Mercedes-AMG GLA 45 S 4MATIC+ all comes with a 2.0L engine. The diesel engine includes the GLA 180d, GLA 200d, GLA 200d 4MATIC, and GLA 220d 4MATIC with a 2.0L. The additional Plug-In Hybrid Engines start with the GLA 250e with 1.3L.
