Factors That Affect How Quickly CBD Works

by Troy M. Mr
With there now being far fewer restrictions on growing hemp in the United States this year, one can expect the variety of hemp oil and CBD brands to broaden. But when it comes to quality, it is difficult to deny that Colorado has some of the best hemp-based products available in the market—including cannabidiol.

Many Americans are even willing to travel across multiple states just to purchase pure CBD oil in Colorado

For many new users, the patience and dedication to buy the best quality oils often disappear when the CBD oil does not take effect instantaneously for them.

Like any other kind of medicine, it takes some time before CBD starts working on the body. And there are a few other factors that influence it as well.

How You Apply CBD

There are several ways of taking CBD, and each of them does affect how fast it gets into your system.

Inhaling CBD vapors is usually the fastest way for CBD to start doing its job. It occurs almost instantaneously, but there's a catch. The effects will wear off far more rapidly than it will with other application methods.

Using tinctures to apply drops beneath the tongue is another fast method. It is usually expected to take effect at least five to twenty minutes after being applied.

If you want longer lasting effects, the best method is to ingest CBD oil. The digestion process breaks the CBD down slowly, allow your body to absorb it steadily. However, it may take around half an hour before you feel any effects.

The Dosage

One man's body composition and metabolism vary from another's. This means that if they take the exact same amount of CBD, the time it takes for it to affect them will each be different.  It may even mean that one of them might not be able to feel any effects at all—if the dosage is actually too small for them.

New users should start off with the smallest doses first and move up until they find the appropriate amount.

CBD Oil Quality and Content

Perhaps the biggest factor that affects the quickness of CBD's effects is the quality of the product itself.

Low-quality CBD oils often pertain to those that:

have not been processed properly
contain other ingredients or chemicals that are synthetic and possibly hazardous
have their contents already exposed to the elements

Correct labeling is also important. You might be led to believe you're buying CBD, but you're actually getting pure hemp oil instead—which is an entirely different product.

To ensure your safety, it is best to buy from a certified seller that sells properly labeled and high-quality CBD and hemp products. For the best results, consult a medical professional with experience and knowledge in the use of CBD.
