Facebook introduces Subscribe button and Improved Friends List

Facebook is at the top of Social Networking and comes up with new features/enhancements to stay atop. Facebook has introduced 2 new updates in the last week: subscribe button and improved friends list.

Subscribe button

This feature helps you have more control over news and posts delivered on Facebook. Earlier there wasn't better control on the news appear in your News Feed. For example, there was no option to change if you don’t want to see every post from your co-worker and you would like to see more post from your best friend. At times, you couldn’t hear news from interested people but don’t know personally, like your celebrities and your favorite leader. By using this subscribe button;

•   You can hear news from the people you are interested, even if you are not     friends
•    You can choose what you can see from people in news feed.

Subscribe button present in top right corner of each of the friend’s profile. You can choose to receive all updates, most updates and only important updates.

You can subscribe the people who you have interested if you don’t know them personally. If you would like to share your post with more than just friends, people who subscribed to you will get post you set as public.

Difference between subscribing someone and adding friends is that you can add someone as friend if you know them personally, and if you want to hear news from person, but you don’t know personally, subscribing is a better option.

Improved Friend List

If you would like to share a personal story with your family without telling to all of your friends in Facebook; by using this improved friend’s list you can share your updates with different list.

Facebook announcing 3 improvements

• Smart lists: It’s Common with you like your work, school, family and city.

• Close Friends and Acquaintances lists: If you add best friend to your close friends list, you can see everything they post in News Feed.

• Better suggestions: Facebook providing suggestion for your smart list Close Friends, Acquaintances, and your own lists, making them easier to create and update.

This is the option to be competent with the Circles option of Google+.
