OST files, also known as Offline Storage Table Files enable the users to work with MS Outlook in an offline mode. At times remaining connected with internet is not possible. Even though, OST file enables the user to work in an offline mode, it does not allow the user to access the data residing in the OST file in a different Outlook profile. This is due to the fact that an OST file can only be accessed in the Outlook profile for which It was created.

But all the above mentioned manual methods possess a limitation. These manual methods cannot be used to change the OST data into PST format, in case the OST file data gets corrupted. This is because the damaged OST file cannot be accessed manually and hence the data residing within the file cannot be copied or accessed.
