# 1. For a couple (1981)

A film with the song 'Hum Bane Tum Bane Ek Duje Ke Liye'. Laxmikant-Pyarelal composed and even more amazing songs were part of the film. The story was about the love of a Tamil boy and a North Indian girl. The family members of both do not agree. Whether or not they can meet their love ahead, this was the story of the film. The film proved to be a blockbuster at the box office. Made in the budget of one crore rupees and made a collection of ten crores. This 1981 Hindi film was a remake of the Telugu film 'Maro Charitra'. Telugu film was made by Hindi director Kailasam Balachander. Kamal Haasan was a part of both films. However, she was accompanied by Sarita in the original film. And Rati Agnihotri in the Hindi remake. Kamal played the role of Tamil boy in both the places.
#2. Siva (1990)
Director: Ram Gopal Varma
Cast: Nagarjuna, Amala, Raghuvaran, Paresh Rawal

This film, which came in 1990, was a remake of Ram Gopal Varma's Telugu film of the same name. There was no change in the story of both the films. Even Nagarjuna, Amala and Raghuvaran played the same role in both films. It would not be wrong to say that Ramu's signature style was also started with 'Shiva'. The common man who finds himself in the world of crime because of the circumstances. He also used this formula in his blockbuster 'Satya'. 'Shiva' was such a big hit of his time that Ramu also made its prequel in 2006. His name was also 'Shiva'. However, this prequel was not a success like the original film.

# 3. Heritage (1997)
Director: Priyadarshan
Cast: Anil Kapoor, Tabu, Amrish Puri, Pooja Batra

Anil Kapoor's film also has a Kamal Haasan connection. Actually, 'Virasat' was adapted from the Tamil film 'Thevar Magan'. Whose story was written by Kamal Haasan. The songs of Anil Kapoor and Tabu's 'Virasat' were also quite popular. Even Tabu did beat-boxing for the song 'Payale Chunmun Chunmun'. The film collected a collection of about Rs 43 crore, and was included in the list of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of that year. Ilairaja gave the music for the original film. Anu Malik, the music director of the Hindi remake, retained some of his tunes in the film. In the Filmfare Awards too, Virasat was rocked with 16 nominations.

# 4. Aunty 420 (1997)
Director: Kamal Haasan
Cast: Kamal Haasan, Tabu, Amrish Puri, Om Puri

Another film by Kamal Haasan. Here he also acted and directed. The film was a remake of the 1996 Tamil film Avvai Shanmugi. Which itself was inspired by the Hollywood film Mrs Doubtfire. 'Avvai Shanmugi' rocked the box office. The public gave some similar response to its Hindi remake. According to Box Office India, the film had grossed 11 million 42 lakhs. Kamal was himself in the lead in the Tamil and Hindi versions. Kamal and Nassar were part of the Tamil and Hindi film. The rest of the cast was replaced. However, in coming to Bombay from Tamil Nadu, there was no significant difference in the story of the film.

# 5. Twin (1997)
Director: David Dhawan
Cast: Salman Khan, Rambha, Karisma Kapoor, Kader Khan

The film that made R. Madhavan 'Maddy' forever. The songs of the film were kind to the young boys and girls. He became a hit as soon as he arrived. It was directed by Tamil director Gautam Menon. It was an official remake of his own Tamil film Minnale. Madhavan played the same role in both films. There was not much retelling with the story and the characters. The film received average reviews at the time of release. But today it has become a classic among its fans. 'Rahna Hai Tere Dil Mein' was Diya Mirza's first film. Madhavan's entry in Hindi cinema was also done with this film.
Salman Khan's film 'Uchcha Hai Building, Lift Teri Band Hai'. Salman played a double role in the film. Karisma Kapoor and Rambha were with him as the female lead. The film, made in a budget of about 6 crore rupees, had a collection of 24 crores at the box office. Directed by David Dhawan, the film was a remake of the 1994 Telugu film Hello Brother. The lead of the Telugu film was Nagarjuna, Ramya Krishnan and Soundarya. It is a matter of coincidence that Salman Khan also had a film by the name of 'Hello Brother'. Which proved to be a big flop at the box office. Well, in 2016 David Dhawan remade his film. In the name of 'twin 2'. Varun Dhawan, Taapsee Pannu and Jacqueline were in the lead.

# 6. Hera Pheri (2000)
Director: Priyadarshan
Cast: Paresh Rawal, Akshay Kumar, Sunil Shetty, Tabu

Foul play'. At the time of release, who knew that going ahead Indian culture would become one of the classic films. The initial box office response was also cold. But then the market caught fire and the film made for Rs 7.5 crore collected 24.5 crore rupees. The story of this film by Priyadarshan is based on the 1989 Malayalam film 'Ramji Rao Speaking'. This Malayalam film itself was inspired by the 1971 TV film See the Man Run. The story of 'Hera Pheri' and 'Ramji Rao Speaking' is exactly the same. After the success of 'Hera Pheri', the makers also made the sequel. 'Phir Hera Pheri' released in 2006. The sequel was directed by Neeraj Vora, the screenplay writer of the previous film.
