No matter where you find yourself in Barcelona, there are shopping experiences of all types to fill your retail therapy needs. Jewellery, clothes (from everyday to chic), niche market and second hand markets, all tastes are catered for. Farmers and produce markets are common place throughout the city, including  excellent local honey and Jamon sellers in the market near Via Julia metro. Shopping centres and malls are throughout the city, with some of the better ones located with excellent metro and bus stops close by.

Diagonal Mar,located by El Maresme Forum (line 3) has fashion, supermarkets, holidays and a food court. Glories Centre Commercial (line 1) has  a Disney Store for the child in us all, H&M for fashions at reasonable prices, an extensive food court and large supermarket to name a few. Mango, Desigual, Jack Jones, Levi Strauss, Stradivarius, Nike and adidas all have stores throughout the city. Some of the best and most exclusive brands like Hugo Boss and Burberry to name but two,  canbe found in or around Passeig de Gracia or El Born.

Whether you are close to La Rambla, PlacaEspanya, Port Vell, L’Eixample; the range and accessibility of the consumer market in Barcelona is excellent and reasonable to the finances.Though sizes may vary in terms of shoes etc, the language barrier is unlikely to faze a keen shopper. Most stores and markets understand and cater for English speakers and stock goods in demand all over the world, brands names and designers alike.

Specialised shops like comic book stores, traditional toy stores and magic shops can be found all over. Some of the best are in Barri Gothic. Shopping for a taste of Cataluña can find you in specialist wine, cheese or meat shops which are abundant in Barcelona. Quality and prices do vary, so a little bit of sampling is to be recommended.

Stores for Barcelona trinkets can be found from Tibadabo to Barceloneta and all points in-between, so if you wish to have a Christmas decoration in the likeness of Lionel Messi or a Catalonian flag for your own balcony, you will have no difficulty finding one. Old books, antiques, coins, stamps and other collectors items can be found at several markets which take place in the city. Most tend to open at 9am and finish in the early evening (6-8pm) .

In Barcelona Shopping is an experience on its own and can bring you most anything you want and at usually very reasonable prices – especially when compared to international markets.
