I have no idea who you are-or why PLR articles can hurt you
Dr Jeffrey Lant seems to be a staple around APSense, quite a feat considering he is not a member. However it seems like every day I'm seeing another one of his articles. This is great for Dr Lant but not for you.
Dr Lant is a prolific writer and there's nothing wrong with that. He shares his articles and there's nothing wrong with that either, but there is something wrong when I look at a members blog list and all of their blogs were written by Dr Lant!
We all have those moments when writer's block hits us, believe me I know but that's no excuse for not writing your own articles and posting them. Many members here have done nothing but build Dr Lant's APSense presence, not their own. All we really know about them is that they are fans of Dr Lant's articles.
PLR articles are a crutch. Every time you repost that article by Dr Lant you give him more exposure at your expense. Now I'm not saying you can't use an article now and then, but what is your purpose in being on APSense to build your presence or someone else'?
If you are here to build your presence, then where are your original works? Your articles don't have to be perfect, but writing and posting your own material builds your presence. The more original content that you write the more members know about you and the stronger your presence becomes.
By all means post an article by Dr Lant, but let it be an article not every article. Build your presence. If you do nothing but post articles by Dr Lant, then you have no proesence, you are just Dr Lant's Apsense represetitive.

Is Dr Lant not the Prat that runs worldwise or worldcon where the person has to listen to his copied Webinar and once they are Brain Washed(or Groupies) they go out into the world and tell us how this one man has the answer to everything,or am I thinking about Jehova Witness's again. You can open an email from what you believe as a trusted source, and they have sole rights to a new program, you open the nextone they have the same program with sole rights, when anyone does that to me thier email is b

When you look at the "All articles" page, it's a shame because probably 80% of what is posted as articles is copied pasted works by someone else.

Try it, Phil. CopyScape is mostly the preferred choice to check plagiarism on the net. Suspicions arise when the PLR copier's comments reflect a different style of writing!

I don't know about CopyScape. I guess it's more elegant than taking the first paragraph and putting it in the Google SE. I had a hunch 2 days ago that an article was not natural, I used the technique, then sent a PM to the member asking him to make us know more about him instead of using PLR. But I rarely check. I probably have topped some PLR articles. I find it suspicious when a new member posts new articles one after the other. Of course, it could be material he wrote elsewhere and brings her

The straight PLR well really hate those even worse that reading another article by Dr Lant. Of course I've have seen his articles show up as plagiarism since he is not credited.

Dr Lant submits to a bunch of article directories and the people posting them are doing it correctly, giving credit to Dr Lant but, at the end of the day all I remember is that it's another Dr Lant production and the member posting them is about as memorable as well..thin air.

That sounds like the sort of thing I do Mohann. If it even smells of PLR with no credit to the original source, it usually won't get a top from me.
Of course we all slip up at times, and there is the occasional PLR article that has value so it's possibly worth a top.

I usually check some of the articles posted at APSense for originality with the help of CopyScape. If I find even 50% similarity, I prefer to top or comment if the article provides some value. The other I got carried away with an awesome article that as soon as I had read it, I topped it and showered a high degree of praise. Within a few minutes, I was tipped off by one of our friends that it is a PLR stuff! And he was right. What I do not like is people do not even bother to give credit where i
