I have no idea who you are-or why PLR articles can hurt you
Dr Jeffrey Lant seems to be a staple around APSense, quite a feat considering he is not a member. However it seems like every day I'm seeing another one of his articles. This is great for Dr Lant but not for you.
Dr Lant is a prolific writer and there's nothing wrong with that. He shares his articles and there's nothing wrong with that either, but there is something wrong when I look at a members blog list and all of their blogs were written by Dr Lant!
We all have those moments when writer's block hits us, believe me I know but that's no excuse for not writing your own articles and posting them. Many members here have done nothing but build Dr Lant's APSense presence, not their own. All we really know about them is that they are fans of Dr Lant's articles.
PLR articles are a crutch. Every time you repost that article by Dr Lant you give him more exposure at your expense. Now I'm not saying you can't use an article now and then, but what is your purpose in being on APSense to build your presence or someone else'?
If you are here to build your presence, then where are your original works? Your articles don't have to be perfect, but writing and posting your own material builds your presence. The more original content that you write the more members know about you and the stronger your presence becomes.
By all means post an article by Dr Lant, but let it be an article not every article. Build your presence. If you do nothing but post articles by Dr Lant, then you have no proesence, you are just Dr Lant's Apsense represetitive.

If we want to succeed we have to get out of the comfort zone and for some people writing is out of the comfort zone. But unless you are writing technical manuals, newspaper articles etc you don't have to be an Ernest Hemingway. Often technical proficiency is less important than the passion you exhibit.

Never been a member of WorldProfit and never will be, but I sure could layout the pro's and con's with Dr. Lant program. In doing so, that would get off topic of this subject of PLR articles.
One don't need to purchase PLR and have duplicated copy as they say to edit the copy so it's not 100% indentical. However, one can take a PLR and get in mindset to use as a guideline to write up your own PLR.
Everyone has talent. Everyone has skills. Everyone has knowledge. Everyone has past experienc

@ Cheryl. Well, I agree with any shortcut, since that is what distingues the humans among other species: The capability of finding solutions that usually can be circumvented to the name "shortcut". Still, there are decency limits we have to accept. Building reputation this way, means from my perspective, cheating. The only scenario I can understand and at some extent and even accept it, is if you are a no-name, but you really have talent. In this case, maybe building your own self-confidence on

I agree that it is a shortcut

Honestly speaking, I give the lowest credit to PLR users. It is a way of simulating value and bypassing the normal cycle of evolution. From my perspective, PLR is useful only for one thing: help you gather some ideas.
For instance: I found a site where Stone Evans' "Dotcomology" was offered under an obscure name of a woman. Knowing the book for some 3 years, I just downloaded to make myself an impression. After reading some 10 pages, I realised that the PLR file was simply exported as PDF, with

I'm back! Since I joined Apsense everyday I find something new. I feel like I am from another internet era. In the begining of my internet experience I had a blog, I wrote it, every line. I wasn't even trying to make money with it. I feel like my internet experience almost stopped there. But, yes I did use Adsense and european affiliate platforms to monetize blogs! Now I have just spent some minutes reading about PLR. It's just another business on internet. People need a steady source of qual

I use them sometimes when I must write something on subjects I know little about. Like is the case on my pet niche. I need to do so because very few are posting some thing else than pictures and videos. Nothing wrong with that but it does not help much for SEO. So some times I use one but write my own summary on top. I can write about cats and dogs but not about snakes, reptiles, sheep and a lot of other animals. It's a problem.

I must admit that when I first started blogging, I didn't have a clue about what to write so I did do some copy and pasting of things I got from others in my business who were more experienced in blogging. But once I got the hang of it, I started writing my own content and that gave me more of a sense of accomplishment. If we want people to get to know us, and hopefully join us in whatever venture we are involved in, we need to convey our own thoughts and ideas. Now, if I do use something tha

But oddly enough as this discussion grows, it is becoming a commentary on how articles can harm not just the poster but the writer also. The more your articles are used great if you stay in a niche but when you start bouncing all over the place that also comes out as we have seen.

Nice comment Joseph, I feel the same way as you about reading articles and just looking at the first few lines.
Unfortunately, not everyone is able to write or has the time or want to improve their writing skills.
As for Dr Kant, if he can get people to put up his stuff, kudos to him because he must be doing something right!
he he he, Cheryl and Philippe should be named the official whistle blowers of APsense

Well unfortunately APSense articles have been PLR for so long that l just lost interest in reading them. I mean l have "READ" articles here that l have read as an example on Digg, l love that site by the way............l have learned a lot there....just from reading articles, that l have an interest in..........why l hardly comment on many articles..........or say much about them l will leave that up to Phil, he does a good job there..........
I have better things to do in my life then worry

Dr Lant, uh, sorry, Fred, I mean, no, the people posting his articles are real people, I know a couple of them, one of them is a good friend, he started posting his own articles after I encouraged him to do so.
I enjoy the fact that Dr Lant even writes RevPages about members LOL

Hey, why you dissing me, I am Dr. Lant!
No just kidding.
You make a great point and that is something used by people that just think posting in quantity is better then quality. Also, these other people could be working for Dr Lant or could be his other alias to advertise himself!

The PLR are just one type Belinha, you have article directories and flat out plagiarism too.

I had to Google PLR! Is it article with "private label rights"? I am about to leave and can't research it more. Back to this article later, sorry Cheryl!

That's just what I mean Philippe he writes on anything and everything under the sun as an 'expert'. Every time I see another article by him on a totally unrelated subject, it reinforces the saying "Jack of all trades and master of none."

This is true. Even members of a race cannot speak for that entire race. I cannot speak on behalf of a black person raised even in Canada because our experiences are not the same. It would be way past pretentious for me to step up and speak on behalf of the country of Scotland because I have no point of reference to know what you experience, I'm outside of the loop. Dr Lant often forgets or overlooks that fact in publishing his articles.

Well said, there is nothing worse than someone saying they know only one person can speak for a race and that is a member of that race

Worldprofit or something according to his bio. But considering all the articles he writes about all these different subjects including some he has absolutely no idea about-I think you may have nailed it.
I read one of his articles and it truly offended me that he thinks he can speak for the black race on racism/discrimination against blacks I found highly offense. He does not have a clue so I look at his articles with a critical eye. Some are good, but some are nothing more than a bout of
