Pestering members on Chat is not a professional approach
I have noticed some members on Apsense who pester me on Online Chat to join their program and click their links.
I believe this is not a good idea and a professional approach in marketing your business. A business network like Apsense is a platform where you communicate with the other members by sharing your ideas and knowledge about a subject that you are comfortable in sharing.

When you share useful information with members, naturally they would have confidence in you and your business. Members would be eager to know what business you are involved in and if it is interesting they may join you.
Do you agree with me friends?

Some are new and don't know any better however many are just doing it. Those whose constantly plagiarize the original post and comments, those who don't bother to read the post and just drop links on anything that has some tops and those who try to be slick. They advertise by placing a 'commercial' on a post without using links.

I think blog posts like this help. Many of the spammers are spamming because they can, but I also think a portion of them are new and don't realize what they are doing is not really a part of selling.

@Sherry, I so agree. But I also believe a lot of the chat spammers are new and have no clue what they are doing. I simply reply back with an offer to join my training site and learn to market, not spam.
There are some that deserve reported and declined. Ethically, sexual harassment is wrong any where, especially when the harassing party has been told to stop! I touched on this on my blog post, http://www.apsense.com/article/154569.html after a frustrating member just would not stop!!

@Gina thanks for the morning chuckle. You are right in the real world the spammers would get themselves thrown out of any networking event because everyone involved would shun them. So why people are willing to tolerate online what they won't tolerate in the real world is beyond me.

In business, they're called spammers.
In the real world, they're called stalkers.

@Cheryl, i agree with you 100%. I used the chat quite a bit when i started here, but mine is also disabled now.
People send me a message, "Hello how are you", and when i reply, i get "Sign up here quick".
I hate that, you know how i feel about SPAM.
So if people want to contact me now, send me a message, i will gladly reply unless it's SPAM.
@Sherry, this is a good post, and i hope it will open some eyes.

Sometimes I really wonder if people even read a blog or just come to spam.

So you come to a blog that talks about pestering people on chat with spam for no other reason that to drop a spam turd in the comments. and for a program anyone with any sense about computers would avoid like the plague since it allows unknown parties access to download upload access you computer without your knowledge or control.
I must say alisafa I find you as tragically comical as all the Paybox.me zombies running around the site. Another one promoting something that is designed to harm

@mytreasure : The only good permalinks only owned by RevPages. Take advantage of RevPages by using keywords that level of competition a bit and have a decent search. You can read tips on my blog Apsense.
Another way is to create a press release to Apsense. It's good for SEO on your affiliate link Apsense.

My experience was different. I had a {now declined} member pester me on chat about a relationship. He had a zero rating. I am new so it took me a couple of days to catch on. He is now on my declined list.
I haven't had any spammers, YET!

I absolutely agree. If these people changed their approach they would do much better in business.

Very true, mytreasure. Attraction Marketing or leading by example by sharing knowledge is much more effective for the closing percentage than hounding people.

Since I work with business owners and decision makers doing employee benefits my only reasons for having chat is to stay in touch with friends and established business contacts. I tend to invite people to come here who I have personal relationships with. I really don't care about making 'money' on APsense so a huge downline is not an issue. I'm on APSense for one reason and one reason only, to build relationships. And I am not looking for 'like minded' individuals to build these relationship

@ ppl_cheryl63, Just a small tip... Showing your status online is a way to attract non-members to view your profile. These visitors come across Apsense, through search engines.
When visitors click a link directing to Apsense, they are brought to the homepage which highlights Online Members. Got an idea how to get more views? ;)

The spammers are going to spam every possible avenue they can find. It does not matter what you say or do because this is what they think it is all about. Shove your referral link in everyone's face and sooner or later someone will bite.
That's why I disabled the chatbox.
