We Get What WE WANT
IN general, the public will often get what the public wants.
HIGH PRICED SPORTS Tickets, flaunting and ridiculous celebrities...we ask for it - we GET IT!
The public supports these things in the movies they watch, the sports events they partake of, the gossip they engage in and also, most definitely, the gossip that they ask specific shows, magazines, and newspapers to display.
Anything public can easily become 'marketable' - which is very apparent from North American fascination with 'Reality TV.'
There are 'Reality TV shows' on every topic from 'cooking' to 'wife swapping,' childcare and parental mediation techniques to hunting down fugitives in the USA!
What kind of REAL do you REALLY want to watch?

I watch TV a lot. I have a good reason for this - self education...
'Reality TV shows' give me valuable information about people and lifestyle in US. Well... for me those shows are something to think about and compare with other countries and nations.
Thanks God I can!
P.S.
I can't imagine "Nanny 911" in Russia.

Lynn - I just visited your site again - how are you doing with organization for all those sites? I am involved in a lot of those, too. Show up, click - get paid - I think they are under rated

I like the 5th grader show, too - but - those questions are tough!

Tracy,
Hmmm...I don't follow reality shows. Not to say that an episode of one or two hasn't caught my eye. I don't watch alot of t.v. even though it is usually on as background noise during the day. So when I do watch t.v. it is usually the news on cable and our local news, I also enjoy watching sit-coms now and then. And the occassional game show, like are you smarter than a 5th grader or deal or no deal.
