Til ke Ladoo

Simple and easy to make, you need to first get your hands on the raw materials

 

Ingredients:

sesame seeds – 1 cup

jaggery – 1 cup

butter – 2 tablespoons

powdered cardamom

water – ½ cup

 

How to Prepare:

Step 1 – Begin by dry roasting sesame seeds at medium heat until they turn golden

Step 2 – Add jaggery and water to form a thick syrup

Step 3 – Mix the roasted sesame seeds with the thick syrup

Step 4 – Add ghee and cardamom powder and stir well. Turn off the gas.

Step 5 – Take some ghee or white butter in your palms to gently make balls from the batter

Step 6 – Wait for them to cool down

Gur Paratha

A delicacy home to the state of Punjab, this dish is cherished on several occasions. With jaggery and wheat flour being the main ingredients, it is sweet and delicious and with a cooking time of approximately 30 minutes, it is among the sweet and easy indian recipes.

 

The things you need:

Wheat flour – 2 cups

Handful of almonds (around 25)

Green cardamoms – 4

Powdered jaggery – 3 tablespoon

Ghee – 3 tablespoon

Salt – ½ teaspoon

           

How to prepare:

Step 1 – Put flour in a big utensil and add salt and ghee. Create a soft dough with some lukewarm water and leave aside for about 20 minutes.

 

Step 2 – Preheat tawa. Mix jaggery with almond and cardamom powder. Take some dough (size of a small guava) and roll.

 

Step 3 – Using dry flour, roll into a 3-4 diameter parantha. Sprinkle ghee on top, place 1 tablespoon of stuffing on parantha and roll back into a ball.

 

Step 4 – Flatten the ball to even the stuffing, dust again with dry flour and roll into 5-6 diameter thick paratha. Place it on the tawa to heat.

 

Step 5 – While heating, continuously flip the sides until the sides turn brown and spread ghee on both sides.

 

Step 6 – Roast the parantha till brown spots are seen on both sides.
