Someone pass me the coffee please.
My son and his friends were going out with their mam's last night. It was the first time i have met a lot of his friends mam's, usually it is just the friends!

I have to say they are a terrific bunch of kids, and the mam's are really nice. But..........................
have you ever tried partying with your kids?

It was such a good idea at the time and I had a really good time, honestly I did.

But this morning I am feeling very fragile. LOL. It's ok for son, he is still in bed sleeping it off. I am the one looking at the amount of housework that needs to be done. Yugh!

Was thinking the same myself.

Leave the mess till he wakes.
Then leave it a little longer, if you can stand it.

Stretch your comfort zone and his...you do not need to be the one who automatically cleans up and he need not be the one who autimatically assumes it'll be domne by someone else! :) lol

Sounds like you had a good time, even though you are paying for it today! The only time I have "partied" with my kids was this summer when my girlfriend, my husband, and I went camping with my son and his wife. It was a lot of fun, we just sat around the campfire and listened to music and talked. I guess you really couldn't call it a party, but close enough for me!

San,
I feel for you mam. While raising our two children we nade it a point to make our house a home for teen-agers and didn't expect them to be anything else. Now that the kids are gone, we miss all the kids we constantly had around our house. Enjoy them while there's time because that time is short. One rule we had around our house was that they had many latitudes, but only as long as the rules were upheld. That meant being out of bed by a certain time and getting certain chores done. As long as they could stay out all night and still carry their weight - they played. But we always let it be their decision - but the rules remained constant.
