Review on SOLE F63 Treadmill

I purchased the sole F63 to replace an old treadmill that finally gave out. The sole F63 is good, but I have not been able to get the heart rate monitor to work consistently. It routinely drops the signal during the workout and makes the heart rate programs unusable. When the signal drops, the F63 sets the HR down to 80, down from about 125. The treadmill then increases intensity by increasing the incline (according to its program) since it thinks I am way under my target. This ends up taking my HR to 10-20 or more over my target range unless I manually adjust the incline down every time it moves it up. The HR programs automatically adjust the incline to maintain a heart rate in the target zone.

I contacted Sole, and their first suggestion was to go out and purchase a separate HR monitor. I explained that I purchased specifically for the HR programs. They sent me a new chest strap, as they did not want to send a technician out since "they might damage something else opening up the console".

The new HR strap does the same thing. I have two other HR monitors in the same room, and they both work with their equipment fine. My previous treadmill had no problems with its monitor during the 7 years I had it and used its HR programs.
