Review on Kindle versions on PC or iPad

eBooks are here to stay.

The Kindle is very popular. But if you are building an online business, chances are, either you have a laptop computer or intend to buy one in the future. It is much more useful than an eBook reader.

Does that mean you can't buy the Kindle version of popular books ? Not at all. When you go to Amazon, you'll see there is a Kindle app for many environments, i.e. the PC, the iPad, iPhone, BlackBerry, and Android.

You can install the app on up to 4 devices, i.e. up to 3 PCs and any of the other devices. I installed it on my Windows laptop and on my iPad, so I can I read the Kindle version of any book on both devices.

The Kindle app is free. It installs easily, and is very easy to use.

From time to time, you'll see very interesting deals on Kindle versions of popular books. For instance, the link of this RevPage will bring you to the Kindle version of "Think and Grow Rich". At the time of this writing, it costs 99 cents !!!

Thanks for the "heads up" Philippe. It's not something that I had considered. All the same I do mourn the potential passing of the hard cover book.
There's nothing like the feel of it in your hands, or the smell of old books in the old-style library.

I'm excited about this version of Amazon launched Kindle for reading digital books on the desktop.

The main advantage is however that easily synchronizes bookmarks between Amazon Kindle device and the desktop application, so users may continue to read on your computer book starts on the way home on the Kindle.

Lorin, you're right, I had kind of noticed, but didn't pay attention. It IS a very nice feature. :)

Neville, for reading a good novel, I agree, but for business purposes, the Kindle app is hard to beat.

Combine that with the ability to see videos and PDFs on the iPad, it's terrific!
