For Venus, Mars and Mercury are friends, and Venus is said to be the planet responsible for all worldly pleasures. Hence people born in Taurus Ascendant are generally considered to be lucky. But there is one thing. Venus, the Sun and Mercury are usually always very close to each other and as such the conjunction of the Sun and Venus will often spoil the strength of the horoscope because the ascendant lord will be eclipsed in spite of the combination of the lords of the 1st and 4th house and therefore for Taurus generally to give a powerful yoga, Venus must be as far away from the Sun as possible - preferably in advance of the Sun rather than being behind the Sun. Of the two ascendants Taurus and Libra, though the same planet owns both of them, Taurus must be considered to be slightly better than Libra. Because in the former case Venus, the lord of Ascendant will happen to be lord of the 6th house, whereas in the latter case, Venus, the lord of the Ascendant will happen to be the lord of the 8th house. Between the two malefic houses, 6th and 8th, 8th is said to be the worse. One interesting point here will be that Venus and Mercury are friendly planets and Mercury for Taurus becomes as a yogakarak becomes a planet conferring beneficial results by virtue of being the lord of the 2nd and 5th houses. Even Jupiter and Mercury are not enemies. These people by virtue of having Venus as the lord of the Ascendant with the aspect of friendly Mars, though a malefic by nature, and also owing to the absence of any malefic aspect on the ascendant, generally are good - looking, relatively tall and with a certain amount of symmetry about their physique. Generally, since the Sun and Mercury are always together, the conjunction of the Sun and Mercury will be perfect, because they happen to be the lords of the 4th and 5th houses.
The 2nd house has Mercury as its lord and this house, it can be observed, is between two benefice planets Venus and the Moon, and this house has the aspect of Mars and Jupiter. These people generally are truthful and earn money reasonably well in their lives.
The 3rd house has the Moon as its lord and is between Mercury and the Sun. The 3rd house has the aspect of Saturn as well as Mars and Jupiter. No doubt Mars is a friend of both Venus and the Moon. They will have brothers and sisters, but the aspect of Saturn may not produce much harmony between them. These people are generally bold, but owing to the aspect of Saturn, sometimes get slightly revengeful and a bit excited. They very often undertake long travels.
The 4th house has the Sun in it, and this house is between the Moon and Mercury and has the aspect of Jupiter and the Saturn. The Moon and the Sun are friends. These people generally will have a perfect lady as the mother but owing to the aspect of Saturn, in some instances, especially where the Moon is poorly placed in their horoscopes, early death of the mother or some trouble about the mother has to be predicted. The Sun and Mercury are friends. They get a reasonably good education but owing to the aspect of Saturn; sometimes there may be an interruption/ setback in their educational career before completion. It has to be remembered that both, the 3rd house which speaks of the lower mind and the 4th house which speaks of the upper brain, have the aspect of Saturn as well as Jupiter. Only the 4th house does not get the aspect of a malefic Mars. Therefore though they are rather excitable, they are not revengeful by nature. They own lands, properties, and more vehicles and this Ascendant is also very favorable for landed property. Mars and the Sun are friends. So even mars and Venus through the sun and Venus are adversaries, owing to the aspect of Saturn natives go in for full property and residential flats and renovate the property.
The 5th house has the aspect of Jupiter. This house is not only the house of intelligence and children but also Poorva-Punya (good deeds of the previous birth).
Therefore when the 5th house is not in any way badly afflicted, they are generally lucky in their lives. They have children who are a great solace to their parents in their old age. The native is usually intelligent and understanding. It can be seen that both the 2nd and 5th houses have the aspect of Jupiter. This house is situated between the Sun and Venus.
The 6th house has Lord Venus, and this house has the aspect of Mars and Saturn.
The aspect of two malefic planets on the 6th house has a new indication in that it removes debts, disease, etc., that are represented by this house. Therefore, one can say that the native generally has freedom from disease, etc. Besides, this house is between Mercury, a doubtful benefice and Mars, a malefic planet, which makes the 6th house weak.
The 7th house has as its lord Mars, and this house has the aspect of Saturn, Jupiter, Mars, and Venus. Mars and Venus are friends. It will be fascinating to note that this house is between great benefices, Venus and Jupiter. Therefore, they are lucky concerning marital, happiness and about the qualities of their spouse. The aspect of Saturn on this 7th house has to be given serious consideration, so also the fact that Mars and Mercury, the lord of the 2nd house indicating domestic happiness, and adversaries. Therefore, the spouse may not be in such a position as to contribute his/her efforts entirely towards family happiness, owing to perhaps ill-health or some such other reason. That the native will have a very charming partner or if it is a woman's horoscope, a perfect husband, there is entirely no doubt.
The 8th house has Jupiter as its lord, and Jupiter and Saturn must be considered to be friends, at least, not enemies. This house is between two malefic, Mars and Saturn, which is an advantage, in that, this house representing poverty and adversary become weak. This house has the aspect of only Mercury and no malefic planet. Hence these people live up to a fairy old age.
The 9th house its lord Saturn. Saturn and Venus are friendly planets, and the Moon is expecting this house. But the Sun and Saturn are enemies. So also the Sun and Venus, therefore, one will have to predict that though these people may inherit some paternal property, yet some misunderstanding between the father and son is very likely. This house is between Jupiter and Saturn, and Saturn happens to be its lord and, therefore, need not be given any serious attention as a malefic. Besides, Saturn becomes a whole benefice for people born in this Ascendant.
One thing may be stated here that some astrologers hold that far Taurus Ascendant, Saturn is not a benefactor though he may be the lord of the 9th and 10th houses. That may perhaps be because it is always said that the conjunction of the lords of the 9th and 10th houses is right but in this case, the lords of both the houses being the same it will not be a conjunction of two different planets as lords of the 9th or 10th houses.
The 10th house has Saturn as its lord, and this house is between Saturn and Jupiter. This house has the aspect of the Sun as well as Mars. Generally, these people get into government service and rice to a reasonably high position in life. Many surgeons and medical specialists have been born in this ascendant.
The 11th house has as its lord Jupiter, and this house is between Saturn and Mars.
This house has the aspect of Saturn and Mercury. These people generally earn well. But the house being between two malefic planets indicates that very often their income will not be commensurate with the labor involved. One may also point out that the lord of the 2nd house is not an enemy of the 11th house.
The 12th house has Mars as its lord, and this house has the aspect of Jupiter, Saturn, and Venus and is between Jupiter and Venus. They generally spend well and enjoy life very much. But one thing can be said that owing to the aspect of Saturn; there may not be much discretion in the matter of their charity or expenditure.
