The second high-end GPU is used by many Windows users, especially the gamers for their system moreover the dedicated card. The causes behind this issue could be many including the dedicated graphics card having failed or a problem with the drivers, and so on. Try the following solutions as mentioned below to resolve the issue:

#Solution1: Update the Graphics driver


A chief reason behind the dedicated graphics card might not be working is that the associated driver sometimes gets corrupt or outdated. So, we first need to update the Graphics driver to solve this issue. There is yet a different way, and that is to install driver downloads for your system on the internet. After that, search for the driver name on the site.

#Solution2: Update the BIOS


The issue could occur when the Basic input/output system (BIOS) is obsolete. Thus, you need to update the BIOS. You can download the latest version of your system’s BIOS from the system manufacturer’s website.

#Solution3: Change the GPU settings


Right-click anyplace on the Desktop screen and click on the Graphics properties. Your Graphic Properties screen depends on the graphics drivers installed on your device and is consequently system specific. You need to keep in mind that these settings could vary for different systems, but they can be found easily by putting some efforts.

In the Display section, under the Select Display drop-down, you need to select the dedicated Graphic card as the default. If you fail, re-select it, re-click Apply and exit.

#Solution4: Turn off the driver for the integrated graphic card


  •         Press Win + R key simultaneously to open the Run window,
  •         Type the command “devmgmt.msc.” in the field.
  •         C lick Enter to open the Device Manager.
  •        After that, expand the list of Display Adapters.
  •         Select Disable device for the Integrated Graphic Card by right-clicking on it.

However, in case the dedicated graphics card also fails, the display will stop working. In such a situation, you are recommended to restarting the system and turning the integrated graphics card on again.
