Why Should Your Next Solar Cover Be A Geobubble One?

by Liz Seyi Digital marketing manager

Can you believe that we’re into May already? It’s fair to say that this past year has been crazy for many of us in more ways than one – but it’s also because of this that you may not have yet got round to purchasing a new solar cover for your swimming pool for this spring and summer.

Well, as the UK’s only solar pool cover manufacturer that sells direct to the public, we’re well-placed to serve that need here at Pool Warehouse. But as you browse our range of solar cover materials, you may notice that some of them carry the GeoBubble brand.

What does this mean, and what are the factors that might make a GeoBubble solar cover the right choice for your swimming pool this season?

Bubbles, but done very differently

If you have purchased a swimming pool solar cover previously, or even if you’re just familiar with the basic concept of bubble wrap, you’ll probably appreciate how useful a ‘bubble’ design can be on a product like this. However, not all solar cover bubbles are the same.

That’s because the traditional solar cover bubble design is adapted from high-volume bubble material that doesn’t necessarily provide the very best longevity a solar cover can offer.

Of particular concern is that these traditional bubbles have sharp corners and thin points that could be more vulnerable to being broken down over time by ultraviolet (UV) rays and the punishing effects of the chemicals typically used in a swimming pool.

In contrast, a GeoBubble solar cover has a distinctive design, each of its bubbles effectively consisting of two bubbles joined together by a structural waistline centre section. Crucially, the GeoBubble design is uniformly thick, being 50% thicker than a traditional bubble material is at its thinnest point.

Where a traditional bubble has sharp corners and thin points, a GeoBubble instead has a smooth shape. The result is a solar cover that is more resilient against those UV rays and chemicals that can cause a traditional cover to deteriorate much more rapidly.

Bear in mind, too, that the GeoBubble is a unique patented design. So, if your next swimming pool solar cover isn’t a GeoBubble one, you can’t guarantee that it will offer comparable benefits to a genuine GeoBubble solar cover.

Don’t wait any longer to specify your next solar cover

With the height of the summer quickly looming, you shouldn’t hesitate for much longer if you want to make the most of the conditions in your home swimming pool this season, while benefitting from a brand new GeoBubble solar cover made to perfectly fit your pool.

GeoBubble solar covers don’t just last for a while – they are also highly rated for their heat retention, debris control and minimisation of water evaporation.
