What is the Problem if the Brother Printer Cannot Print?

The problem in printing can happen due to one of several reasons. Covering all the reasons can be quite difficult, so here we have come up with some best and most common ones along with the solutions.

Let's check out various Brother printer problems and their solutions

Problem 1. Connection:

In case your printer is connected through a USB cable, check if the cable is properly plugged in or not. In the case of a wireless printer, the printer and your device need to be on the same Wi-Fi network.

Problem 2. Default Error:

The error occurs as you may have more than one printer connected to your device. If you have not selected your Brother's printer as your default printer, you may run into an error.

  • To check if your default device is your Brother's printer or not, Go to the command prompt and type control.
  • Go to the devices and printers option.
  • Right-click on the Brother printer icon and set it as the default printer.

Problem 3. Fix Print Spooler Service:

  • Open your command prompt window and type in services.msc and click on OK.
  • Right-click on the print spooler service and select restart if your print spooler service is not started.
  • Then proceed to properties by right-clicking on the print spooler service option and selecting automatic under startup type.

Problem 4. Clear your Queue:

Sometimes a failed queue is also responsible for your printer's error. Clearing your queue can resume the smooth functioning of your printer.

  • Hit the windows tab and type in services.
  • Go to print spooler and select stop.
  • Press the windows and E keys on your keyboard simultaneously to open file explorer. Copy the address and then paste it to the address bar.
  • Delete all the files and go to services as explained in the first point.
  • Right-click on the print spooler and then select start to resume your printer service.
  • After this, restart your device and wait for some time.

Problem 5. A Damaged System File:

A damaged or missing system file is also a major reason for your Brother's printer not working. Many online tools and websites are present online to fix such files. Fix your damaged or missing file and check if your printer service is resumed or not.

So going through the above solutions, you can easily fix your Brother printer issue. How do I troubleshoot my Brother printer? If the problem still occurs, you can speak to the printer representative anytime.
