What are the qualities of Heat Transfer Fluids?

by Terrence Jackson Strategist
Envireau Pacific Inc. Philippines (EPI Phil) is a company that provides eco-friendly products across the country. Our divisions include products that cater to agriculture, water treatment and various industrial services (vehicular, soil stabilization, dust control, etc.) The latter division provides lubricants that are useful for various industries that use complex machines that need different fluids to properly function. However, lubricants are not the only thing that EPI Phil’s Industrial division provides. It also provides excellent heat transfer fluids.

What are heat transfer fluids?

A heat transfer fluid is a kind of industrial material used for either cooling or heating, serving as a midway point between either. A heat transfer fluid can either be a gas or a liquid, depending on the needs of certain   industrial machines. For this reason, water is considered one of the best heat transfer fluids in terms of cooling, although it has the potential for corrosion, so only good quality water is suggested for use.

Who uses heat transfer fluids?

There’s actually a large variety of industries that use heat transfer fluids. For example, the food industry uses heat transfer fluids for meat processing and snack food generation, while the oil and gas industry uses it for gas processing and refining. The cooling and heating of materials are important for the creation and refinement of various products.

What are the qualities of Heat Transfer Fluids provided by Envireau Pacific Inc.?

Low Viscosity: The lower the viscosity of the heat transfer product, the easier it will be to flow and pump, thereby reducing pumping costs and facilitating heat transfer more easily.

Acceptable for food contact: Similar to food-grade lubricants, some heat transfer fluids have the chance of accidentally touching food materials while in use. “Food grade” heat transfer fluids are thus important for the food industry, as it allows for a safer material to be used near edible materials.
