- Divorce Process and Certificate
You can proceed to the court to file for the divorce after getting a No Objection Certificate from the Family Guidance Committee. The court takes into consideration husband’s income and how they have to take the burden of children’s upbringing. The amount of husband’s income determines how much maintenance the woman can seek. According to the Personal Status Law, the husband is liable to pay a certain sum, decided by the court, to bear the expense of woman and children, regardless of wife’s income and financial condition.
