In England, the Channel Island and Wales, the governing body of the Royal Arch are the Supreme Grand Chapter of England.

There is a conjoint rule of three Principals over the Chapter and three Grand Principals ruled over the Supreme Grand Chapter. Chapters that come under the Supreme Grand Chapter’s jurisdiction of England are clustered as Metropolitan area or Provinces, which depends on the old Counties.

On the basis of the districts, overseas chapters are grouped. Grand Superintendent appointed by the First Grand Principal as his own representative for that specific area ruled over Provincial, Metropolitan and District Grand Chapters.

Minimum Qualification for Joining the Royal Arch

One can enroll into the Royal Arch only when he has Master Mason as a prime qualification and standing for at least four weeks in a Lodge under a Grand Lodge of England or other lodges that are recognized by it.
