The many variations in ACP design!

by Swetha So Analyst

Aluminium Composite Panel or ACP is a modern age material employed to build exteriors, interior applications and signage. It is accessible in a wide range of colors and finishes like wood, stone, dual-tone, etc. And it can even be bent, folded and moulded into shapes that can’t be accomplished by any other material. Hence, aluminium composite panel manufacturers make sure that ACP allows more design liberty and is thus a designer’s delight.

What makes ACP desirable?

No material is as malleable as Aluminium Composite Panel, and it can give birth to designs that are either too hard or impossible to craft with other materials. This latest aluminium substance comes with a crowd of practical and technical advantages over conventional and other materials. It’s lightweight plus delightfully flexible and simple to work. Installation is easy and fast. It’s enduring, easy to maintain and cost-effective. And it allows a wider variety of colours and textures.

Not only the above benefits but when compared to other building substances like HPL or Stone, ACP is more chemical, fungi, and UV resistant, along with being recyclable, as well as easily bent and folded.

The types of ACP materials

1. FR materials ~

It is crucial to take every possible precaution during the construction of buildings, and the construction materials used also need to adhere to safety cum quality standards in building architectures and structures. Keeping this in view, aluminium composite panel manufacturers use Fire-retardant (FR) materials as an essential constituent in modern construction.

The typical ACP cladding design for an FR material involves a frame structure comprising a non-load-bearing brick wall supported by plaster, steel frame, and an ACP envelope set on the frame. Not only do the FR materials be fire resistant but they also need to be emitting less smoke.

2.  Rainscreen claddings ~

These ACP claddings are outer layers that depreciate the force of wind-driven water movement. They block the water from invading small breaches in the surface of a building. By the time the water touches the “true” exterior wall, it loses drive and the ability to penetrate the wall. This protective layer hides the wall from rains and so is the name owing to its unique ACP cladding design.

3. Zinc Composite Panel (ZCP) ~

The ZCP takes cladding dreams many notches higher as it is natural, super endearing, durable, and magnificent to have these panels beautify the facades which will be a style statement in itself. ZCP blends the rustic beauty of zinc, with the flatness, ease of fabrication, durability, and cost-effectiveness that ACP products are known for with the several benefits of composite panels that readily lends itself to classic and modern designs.

4. Copper Composite Panel (CCP) ~

Alike ACP, CCP panels too combine copper as the top layer and aluminium as the bottom layer which is again available in both FR and normal grades. CCP is an excellent option for spaces where health is a top priority for the fact that CCP is anti-microbial.
