The influence of original material to welded steel pipe

Considering the factors affecting the welded steel pipe, manufacturers should take original materials in control. Then for the production of ERW steel pipe, how's the influence of the mechanical properties to the quality of this kind of steel pipe?

The common steel would be carbon structural steel for the production of welded steel pipe, and the main grades would be Q195, Q215, Q235 SPCC SS400 SPHC and so on. The formation of steel forming would be difficult, especially for wall thickness steel pipes because of the high steel yield point and tensile strength.It would cause cracks for the welded steel pipes. For example, when the tensile strength of the strip exceeds 635 MPa, and the elongation is less than 10%, the weld seam is easily cracked during the welding process.

It is our responsibility to think twice about the tensile strength when we need the relative original materials for the production of the welded steel pipe.
