Streetlight pillar made by steel pipe

Streetlight has become the essential product for customers nowadays as it would provide us various convenience when we go out at night. The components of the streetlight, excepting the lamp, we should take notice for the pillar too. Which kind of materials is better for the pillar making? Wood pillar? Steel pipe like ERW steel pipe pillar? Plastic pipe pillar?

Actually, I still remember that it would be a wooden pillar under the streetlight to keep the night bright. And there are lots of trouble with the wooden pillar. For example, it would rot with time goes one by rain and sunshine even the ant. Of course, it is cheap at that time.

With time goes by, we have changed the pillar for street lamp. For example, steel pipes would become one of the options. As it would not damaged quickly by rain or sunshine, of course not the ant too. At the same time, it could save lots of time and labor sources for replacement and maintain. To some extent, this is the benefit bring by the advanced technology.
