Steps To Prepare Your Home Properly For an Aircon Install

Preparing your home is essential before an aircon install and to do that, you need to follow a couple of steps that we will discuss here. Following these steps will ensure a smooth and safe installation of the appliance.

1. Reviewing heating and cooling load

After arrival, the technician will conduct a load calculation to see if the air conditioning system can draw the amount of power needed and if it will be safe for the other appliances in your home. The technician will also inspect the structure of the home, roof, windows, etc. to determine the size and type of appliance that will fit. So, you need to talk to the technician and ask him about the load calculation results so that the installation can be safe. 

2. Maintenance of the ducts

4. Checking the product

5. Checking the Electrical Earthing

Electrical Earthing is important for the safety of everyone in the property as it protects from electrical shocks. So, before installing the air conditioning system you need to check if the earthing is working properly or not. The technician who will be installing the aircon will check for the earthing or you can contact an electrician for the job.

6. Checking your walls

The walls of your home should be capable of holding of the aircon. If you have wooden walls or an old house, you must get your walls checked by a builder. They will guide you on the weight that your walls can bear and you can choose the aircon likewise.
