Stephen Odzer is a successful United States Of American (USA) entrepreneur. Mr Stephen Odzer grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and has more than 30 years of experience in the distribution industry. Her story serves as an inspiration to many aspiring entrepreneurs. At just 18 years old, Mr. Stephen Odzer became involved in the paper products business and started the first company outside his parents ’basement. At the age of 18, Stephen Odzer developed and led a business in the distribution industry. In 2000, he was named Ernst & Young Entrepreneur.

Less than 20 years ago, skilled job seekers with disabilities were screened outside of regular traditional recruitment practices. Thanks to the passage of the ADA Amendment Act in 2009, higher housing is guaranteed for many Americans with disabilities. What's more, access to advanced technology, recruitment processes, and new training strategies means that entrepreneurs today can successfully recruit employees with disabilities who may need a specific support system. Entrepreneur and social activist Stephen Odzer recently discussed the unique benefits that entrepreneurs enjoy when hiring people with disabilities.


(For countless years, potential employees with disabilities were simply left out of the recruitment process, Stephen Odzer said. Not only was this unfair to people looking for employment, but businessmen were also losing valuable assets.)


Stephen Odzer said one obvious advantage of this is a larger recruitment pool. Applicants who were more than qualified but were immediately rejected in the past are not being immediately dismissed now. This means employers will have the opportunity to review their applications, achievements and skillsets.


Stephen Odzer adds that diversity in the workplace is essential and that workers with disabilities are involved in this diversity. Employing people from different cultures and different levels of life can provide more insight into what customers want and create more space for different ideas. Many times, people with different backgrounds and different skills have different ways of thinking. One person may not see the solution to the problem, but someone else from a different background can use their different life experiences to solve the problem. Stephen Odzer explained that people with disabilities may have different ideas and perceptions than people who do not face these kinds of challenges.

Entrepreneurs like Stephen Odzer have explained that employees with disabilities can positively influence other employees in the workplace.


Studies have shown that there is a positive effect on retaining current employees in the business with employees with disabilities. They also see an enhanced work ethic in the work they do on behalf of this organization. Overall employee morale has been shown to be higher with more diverse workplaces, especially those with disabled employees


Stephen Odzer suggested that hiring qualified staff for people with disabilities is not only convenient for the staff; This is beneficial for the company as a whole...
