Recent Changes and Updates at APSense (Oct 1st)

Hello, Everyone!

APSense is a Business Social Network that keeps growing and improving. If you have been a member for some time you will see these changes happen from time to time.

Sometimes they are small changes that make a little improvement at the time.

At other times there will be modifications and additions that have a greater impact.

Some recent changes include:
  • Upgraded brand page, added page cover.
    Brand Pages now have a new look including the ability to add a cover image, to help with brand identification.

  • Changes to credit campaigns.
    Campaigns can now only be created with links to apsense.com, such as Revpages, Articles, talents etc.
  • Added active campaigns on content pages.
    You can now find links to credit campaigns on RevPages,Articles, Group Discussions, etc.
  • Added the link "Promote it" in the newsfeeds.
    The quick and easy way to create a campaign.
  • Fixed a bug on adding videos into brand pages.

I have already felt the effect of the change when I wanted to add a campaign. I had to write a revpage related to the page I wanted to promote of which url was rejected on the campaign page.

These are nice changes that will add more value to APSense.

Will the campaigns still be index-able by the search engines?

@QueenHajar, you can share your business in groups that allow it. This has not changed. Also, since we can't put links from outside APSense to create campaigns, what you can do instead is write a group post about something you want to promote, then create campaigns for that post. I would even suggest to create several group posts for the same thing, to do split testing and see what works best for you.

From the day, the change in campaign policy has come, I have not visited apsense, and I think many many other people has not. Our points are getting wasted when we cannot show our websites.. these changes really sucks!!!

@Corey, if all you're looking for are Traffic Exchanges, there are plenty out there, even APSense has its own in the add-ons section.

In my opinion, some of the recent changes are meant to create more content in APSense which will in turn make APSense more visible on the internet. Increased activities will also draw the robots to crawl more often.

What's the benefit?

With more frequent crawling, our uploaded content will be indexed faster than ever before.

Therefore, let us all embrace the changes that are coming at APSense. We shall all ultimately gain.

Since each campaign page opens an APSense page, there should only be ONE campaign link on each APSense page otherwise you get a binary flood of TWO pages opening up when you keep following a few of these links ...

Post only ONE campaign link per APSense ... since there also links to other ads available as well on top of it!

@Servilock, editing your social media links works fine, you need to go to "edit page", then "edit social media", you can then edit any of your social media info, you can even try by clicking on the button to the right of each one

I love it that APSense continues to grow and update site features. I'm not too happy about the campaign change though :( But I guess we find our way around in order to be able to use the credits here. Well, APSense articles and revpages have ranked high in google in the past. I suppose it won't do any harm to just create pages for your promotion and use that for campaign here ^_^ Just added another step in the process is all... ^_^

@Servilock, then click "Contact Us" at the bottom of every page at APSense to get some help

In my mind, a visitor has to click twice, from the Apsense page to my landing page. So in opinion it's more difficult to get recruits. Not something that I fees is worth me participating in any more.

@Derek, yes it's an additional step, but it means those who click are really interested, they want to know more, so it's a better targeted click

What i do is click the links and see if the website is relevant to me and see the contents and accordingly I like the website. So no issue of contents etc, The Campaign changes are BAD in anyway

@Corey, there were more and more spammers use this feature to adverting. They came into APSense doing nothing but advertising their sites. (Some were scamming sites or bad links). This feature was almost out of control. If people would not like to click the campaign any more, your credits will be useless. If people just go clicking campaigns for earning credits, and never read your web page, all credits will be put into trash too. This is the reason why we need to change the credit campaign. Add value to every click!
