PT Pupuk Kalimantan Timur (PKT) is one of the largest urea and NPK fertilizer producers in Asia which was established on December 7, 1977. 

Processing certain raw materials into staples needed for the manufacture of fertilizers, petrochemicals, agrochemicals, agro-industries, and other chemicals and processing these staples into various types of fertilizers and other chemical products and derivative products.

In addition to the production of fertilizer and ammonia products, Pupuk Kaltim also produces factory utilities such as steam, electricity, and demineralized water to meet the Company's industrial needs. In order to support business continuity and strengthen its position in the manufacturing business world, Pupuk Kaltim specifically plans business expansion in the field of methanol processing. This is marked by the planning of the construction of new processing units and the preparation of industrial land in the Pupuk Kaltim industrial area.

Urea - Urea fertilizer, also called nitrogen (N) fertilizer, which is made from the reaction of ammonia with carbon dioxide in a chemical process to solid urea.

Ammonia - Ammonia is used as a raw material in the chemical industry. Ammonia produced by Pupuk Kaltim is marketed in liquid form at a temperature of -33 degrees Celsius.

NPK - NPK compound fertilizer products are of two types, namely NPK Blending and NPK Fusion.
