PT SMART Tbk (SMART) is one of Indonesia's leading integrated palm-based consumer products public companies committed to sustainable palm oil production.

SMART's oil palm plantations cover 137,000 hectares (including plasma). Our main activities are planting and harvesting oil palm trees, processing fresh fruit bunches (FFB) into palm oil (CPO) and palm kernel, and processing CPO into value-added products such as cooking oil, margarine, shortening, biodiesel and oleochemicals, as well as trading palm-based products worldwide. SMART also operates 16 palm oil mills, 4 palm kernel processing plants and 4 refineries in Indonesia.

In addition to bulk and industrial oils, SMART derivative products are also marketed under various brands such as Filma and Kunci Mas. Today, these brands are recognized for their quality and have a significant market share in their respective segments in Indonesia.

Founded in 1962, SMART has been listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange since 1992 and is headquartered in Jakarta. As a subsidiary of Golden Agri-Resources (GAR), SMART also manages business activities in the oleochemical sector, under Sinar Mas Oleochemical, SMART Research Institute (SMARTRI), and SMART Biotechnology Centre as part of its operations.

Consumer Products - We produce trans-fat free products to promote healthier diets. Our range of cooking oil, margarines, shortening, sauces, and beverages are a preferred staple across households and are the most preferred choice in the food services industry too.

Food Services - Commercial edible oils, bakery & specialty fats

Oleochemicals - We offer an extensive portfolio of fatty acids, fatty alcohols, glycerine, and soap noodles that are manufactured using stringent quality control processes. We also develop innovative tailor-made products designed to meet every customer’s needs.

Biofuel - We produces biofuel from responsibly sourced crude palm oil (CPO) and operate two biofuel plants – one near Jakarta and another in South Kalimantan – that produce over 600,000 tonnes of high quality biofuel per annum.

Food & Nutrition Innovation - Championing healthier global diets.
