by Ankita Sehgal Freelance Blogger, Lives in New Delhi
While designing a dream home, people always prefer good quality products that complement the home design. Choosing the right appliances and fixtures for the home is crucial to enhance its aesthetic appeal. Every room of the home deserves an equal amount of attention to ensure that the theme of the house is in harmony. However, people often overlook their kitchen. It can ruin the overall appeal of the house.

Designing kitchens is considered a very complicated job. It is one of the most functional areas of the house that require adequate maintenance. Hence, proper attention should be given to every item and appliance in the kitchen. Once the design elements of the kitchen have been decided, it is time to start choosing the appliances that suit your needs and space. Among all the appliances and equipment, the hob holds a special place.

The conventional kitchens feature sleek and stylish built-in hobs. These hobs stay fixed and the cooking space becomes firm and sturdy, unlike a cooktop. One can consider choosing any one of the following types of the hob for the kitchen:

Gas Hobs

The common type of hobs used in households are Gas Hobs. They have been around for a very long period of time and come with four or five burners. In case the gas hob has a manual ignition, the knobs are used to control the amount of heat. These gas hobs are mainly available in two variants: the glass version and the stainless steel version. While the stainless steel version is considered a more economical one, glass hobs, with a smoother surface are easier to clean. One of the biggest advantages of using gas hobs is that the hobs can generate the maximum amount of heat instantly.

Induction Hobs

With an opulent design and stylish finish, inductions are the modern generation hobs. These use the property of magnetism and operate quickly. One of the major advantages of using induction hobs is that they give very precise control of the heat generated. One can even tweak just a few degrees to reach the required amount of heat. Also, these hobs are energy efficient. This makes them a very eco-friendly option for all households.

Ceramic Hobs

Ceramic hobs appear very sophisticated and are more economical compared to induction hobs. They have a universal design that makes them compatible with various kitchen designs. Also, cleaning these hobs is very easy. However, the ceramic hobs take much longer to heat up compared to induction alternatives and are a little complicated to use.
