Well, hello again! It’s fair to say that the last few months have been turbulent ones for many of us. However, here at Manor of Groves, we’re delighted to say that our doors are now open again to the public for the first time since we closed amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

But of course, it’s also important for us to underline that the virus has not exactly entirely gone away. So, your experience with us will necessarily be slightly different to what it would have been before the lockdown, in line with our duty and commitment to keeping you safe.

So, what’s different?

In common with other Hotels In Hertfordshire and elsewhere in England, Manor of Groves is now permitted by the Government to reopen, provided that measures are put in place to make the premises ‘COVID secure’.

Thankfully, having always been committed to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety, we already had a strong foundation in place for further changes to our practices in readiness for this moment. Some of those changes had already been made before we closed our doors.

Our guests can now expect such measures as pre-arrival check-in and registration, in-room dining at no extra cost, and social distancing throughout the hotel. All of our team members have also completed a ‘prevent COVID-19’ online course, and will be required to stay home if they are unwell.

Some things, though, never really change

It is equally important to acknowledge, though, that so many of the things that have long helped to make us a leader among hotels in Hertfordshire, remain unchanged in this new era. That means guests will continue to be able to enjoy the Georgian charm of our historic hotel and courtyard.

Our golf course is also open and available for bookings. And our safety measures have also made it possible to be ready to welcome our guests back to our Leisure Club with complete confidence on the 25th July when such facilities open up across the UK.

And of course, there’s one more thing that has never changed – the delightfulness of Hertfordshire itself! As one of England’s greenest counties with all manner of cultural attractions and a rich architectural heritage, Hertfordshire has been much-missed by many of our repeat guests. We therefore can’t wait to welcome them back so that they can immerse themselves in the county’s sights and sounds once more.
