Learn STEM with Kits from Space Trek

Experiments have been proven as the best way to teach science. Activities ignite curiosity and ensure that children develop an attitude of asking questions to understand things better.

Hands-on experiments are necessary for students to understand theory behind every day events ranging from boiling water to development of vaccines. While the most popular fields of study have been physics, chemistry and biology the application of t natural sciences includes mathematics, technology and engineering and no discipline stands in isolation. Given the abundance of STEM careers, STEM studies are encouraged in schools The future of science lies in research with application of both natural and formal sciences. It helps our lives mainly in three ways, first is the individual centric perspective, second is civic and finally for the economic well-being. Scientific understanding of everyday health and technological needs requires informed choices for decision making in social matters.

Resources on earth are shrinking. To have sustainable choices newer solutions are needed in which scientific innovation is an imperative. At the same time concern of changing climate has intensified the need to find life on other planets. But do we have enough resources or to say enough educated and intellectually cultivated scientists to participate in science! STEM education is the future of science because more than ever now is the time we need more workforce trained in natural and general science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

If children are taught the importance of STEM education at a young age, there are better chances of cultivating resources who can find solutions to the problems is the future. To do so an ecosystem needs to be built where schools on one hand provide experimentation related to natural science at their campus and collaborate with STEM educational service providers to enhance their teaching and curriculums. Since learning core engineering and mathematics while in school could be difficult to a broad spectrum of students during school, the STEM activity kits are an ideal way for them. If a school wants to teach rocketry to the students in middle and high school, they can do so by water rocket kits which are developed specifically for that age group and by instructors. When students learn assembly of a rocket, they get deeper into the innovative design and concepts like thrust, lift and aerodynamic drag. Concepts like these could be taught with real- time experimental method which coupled with the importance of rocket science for the world today. It might help ignite the curiosity of the students and would take away the fear of rocket science.
