You cannot have a design without ink.  There are different inks that are used for printing, such as water-based or plastisol inks.  You will need solvent ink.  With so many colors to choose from, you should start with the basics, which include white, black, yellow, blue, or red.  To get a more precise outcome, you should also have a scale to weigh the paint before you blend colors.
