Setting Up “TP-Link AC1750” as Access Point

This method will work for all router of TP-Link, and it also includes AC1750. Pursue the given instructions to do the same.

  • First of all, use the Ethernet cord and then connect the “TP-Link” router with your system. It’s a more stable system than other Wi-Fi connections.
  • After that, sign in to the account related to TP-Link through the given IP address at the lowermost portion of the specific TP-Link router.
  • Now, tap on the Network option and then hit the LAN option by navigating the side menu bar.
  • The IP address should be outside the range of your DHCP related to your main router if you wish to modify your LAN’s IP address associated with to TP-Link router to the primary router IP address.
  • Now, restart your device. Then you have to enter the freshly created IP address for Signing into the interface of TP-Link.
  • Next, hit the option “Wireless” for your TP-Link account and then tap the “Wireless Settings” option.
  • Then, it is recommended to modify your SSID network’s name and verify it after proceeding further.
  • Hit the “Wireless” option once more and then choose “Wireless Security.” Set up your preference, and generally, it is recommended to use WPA2 or WPA as it is the safest and reliable one.
  • Now, verify your modifications and then save it.

Note: If you are using dual-band router (5GHz and 2.4 GHz), then it is recommended to set up these settings also for 5GHz.

  • Then, navigate to the interface of TP-Link and hit the DHCP option there.
  • After that, tap on DHCP settings.
  • After that, you are required to deactivate the DHCP related server. To do this, hit the “Disable ” option and save all the modifications that you have made.
  • Now, hit the option “System Tools” and then restart your device after confirming the prompt box.
  • At last, Through LAN ports, connect the primary router to TP-Link by using your Ethernet cable.
  • You can connect other devices by connecting it to the remaining LAN ports located on your TP-Link router.

Note: One can also use other Wi-Fi enabled devices to access the internet through the router of TP-Link by entering the correct passcode having proper SSID.

Getting Lost IP Address

  • First and foremost, search the IP address at the backside of your device. In case it is scratched off or missing there, then pursue these instructions if you wish to get your old IP address:
  • Use the Ethernet cord to connect the router to your system, or you can do the same through Wi-Fi.
  • Then, apply the right mouse click on the option Network.
  • After that, tap on the “Network and Sharing Center” option.
  • Now, choose your existing network and then tap on “Details.”
  • Next, search for the “Default Gateway.” It’s your IP address.

In case you are using Mac, then abide by these instructions:

  • First of all, open the “System Preferences” option.
  • After that, hit the “Network” option.
  • Now, choose the “Advanced” tab.
  • Then, select TCP or IP for your device.

Next, search for the Router button. Look at the number provided there. It is your device’s IP address.
