How to Connect A Device With Windows Media Player

Windows Media Player is a media player as well as media library app. A number of people use it to play audio and videos. In this blog, we will go through a step by step guide on how to connect a device with Windows Media Player.



Step 1

Power on the Android phone you are using by pressing and holding the power button of the device.

Step 2

After turning on your phone, leave it for two minutes to allow it to work properly and insert an end of the cable into your phone’s slot and the rectangular one into the Windows system slot you are using.

Step 3

After connecting your phone with the computer, swipe down the menu bar on the home screen of your Android device. There lies a USB connected icon there. Tap on it to sync your Android device with your Windows system. If you do not see any USB connected icon in the notification bar, try plugging in both the cable ends because there are chances if they are not properly connected with the PC and Phone.

Step 4

Now, open the Windows media player on the system or alternatively type windows media player in the start menu. After opening the Windows media player, find the name of your Android device in it. And if you do see your Android device name, swipe down on the home screen of your Android phone to re-select the USB option. if you successfully find the name of your Android device and you are sorted.

Step 5

In the fifth step, make sure that your MP3 player has a USB cable or not because MP3 players can easily be charged with USB cable slots. Connect both the devices with a USB cable to finish up the process.

Step 6

At this step, you need to sync the content by clicking on the Sync option available at the top left corner of the windows media player. After successfully syncing the content, select a library like Music and add contents in it. You can drag items such as Music and videos in that newly created library.

Step 7

After successfully syncing the content with your Windows media player, now you are able to play music and videos in the library created by you.

Step 8

If you face any issue in syncing and connecting your phone with windows system. Troubleshoot it by ensuring you are connecting a compatible device with the system or not.

Step 9

Install extensions or drivers if you are unable to troubleshoot the problem. Download an extension to resolve the issue and you are good to go.
