There is no minimum language requirement when applying through Canada Sponsorship Visa for any province. The Canada Sponsorship Visa for the family is altogether a different Canada Permanent Residency program that allows Canadian Citizens or permanent residents to sponsor their eligible relatives for permanent residency to live, study and work in Canada.

The language requirement is therefore required for applying through skilled migration programs namely Express Entry and Provincial Nomination Programs. So, to apply for Canada Sponsorship Program under various family visa categories, there is no requirement for taking a language assessment test.

· The age must be more than 18 years of age

· The sponsoring applicant must agree to sign a sponsorship agreement to show their commitment to support you financially
