How Logistics Parks Are Fuelling The Growth Of Industrial Sector

by Ankita Sehgal Freelance Blogger, Lives in New Delhi
Industrial parks are portions of a city, zoned only for industrial use. Complete with oil refineries, ports, warehouses, distribution centers, chemical plants, plastic manufacturers, airports, food, and beverage processors, they are increasingly becoming a trend important globally and specifically in developing countries like India, China, and certain parts of eastern Africa. Some industrial parks even offer tax incentives for businesses to relocate there. With modern industrial and logistical real estate, the supply chain in India is very high.

With the advancement of real estate and industrialization, logistics parks in India have become more or less a norm. India as a country is seeing serious industrial growth from past few years and a lot of that credit goes to increase in industrial space.

Here are a few noted advantages of logistics parks:

Lease Amendment Due to Fast Company Growth

There is a rapid increase in company growth and one major benefit of industrial parks, in general, is that a short distance move often results in minimum disruption to the business. Since they own the land they create buildings on, they are always looking to expand their holdings to help thriving companies grow within their parks. Both the existing and the new construction of the company are taken care of.

A Readymade Building

Often using numerous contractors when building warehouse or steel structures can lead to hiring different people for different aspects of work. That can lead to a steady depletion in the income and by the time they’re paid, their money is all gone. To avoid this, the industrial parks and warehouses in India prepare the building and keep it ready for companies so that they can lease it for six or even 12 months according to their requirement. If they prefer, they can even buy and make the necessary tweaks and adjustments to meet their exact expectations.

Storage and Movement

These are two very important elements when it comes to company reallocation. If a 1-stop company who owns an industrial park is hired, one can enjoy the luxury of sitting down with the designer and map out the traffic movement and storage requirements, to ensure absolute accuracy. Without seeing the site and the map, these things can be difficult to visualize. And that is precisely what these parks try to avoid. Since they own the site, they are accountable for the company needs.
Moving equipment from one shop to the other in the snow, rain, and heat is not feasible and not an easy task, especially when one has deadlines to meet. Hence, this is another reason why industrial parks prove useful.

Accountability

Every time an industrial park builds, there is an investment that they make as well. That translates into them being 100 % accountable for every single structure that goes up, whether it is the underground sewers, the roofs or the safety.
