Hernia After Pregnancy?- A Surgery Can Do That

A hernia is what when a portion of the body pushes another part of the body. The other part of the body comes through from splitting the abdominal lining, where it’s not supposed to. Hernia after cesarean delivery is not very common amongst women.

Preeti Deshmukh, a homemaker shared her journey after her pregnancy.
“ My baby is 5-years-old now. She goes to school. Last year was painful for me. I didn’t realize a hernia could make such pain. I have been busy with decorating my home, just moving things here and there. I was trying to lift my tea table and suddenly I feel intense pain in my abdomen. I throw down the table where it was and sat down in floor crying wrapping my abdomen with two hands.
It was all of a sudden and I never felt this pain before. Like something is emitting from my abdomen. I barely had the sense to find out what it was. My husband came up to rescue me. He started to pat my back, as I was very shocked and tensed. He told me, the pain could come from the hernia.
Later I felt it was a lump, which was coming inside of my abdomen. He made an appointment with the doctor. He advised us to undergo Hernia surgery. But, I wasn't prepared for the open surgery because I had a cesarean surgery before and I have scars. Then the doctor suggested Laparoscopic Surgery. I thought it would be fine for me when I heard about the facts of the surgery.
We started to find for the preferable hospital, where Laparoscopy is done. And thank god we found the Best Laparoscopy Surgery Hospital.
Finally, my hernia was removed and I felt less pain after surgery. I recovered very quickly. A many thanks to Laparoscopy! Wish there is a way to deliver a baby through a Laparoscopic surgery!(smile)
