Hernia Treatment Without Surgery - Hernia Cure at Home

by Glamyo Health Glamyo Health - India's Leading Healthcare Network

A hernia occurs when an organ or fatty tissue squeezes through a weak spot in a surrounding muscle or connective tissue called fascia. The most common types of hernia are inguinal (inner groin), incisional (resulting from an incision), femoral (outer groin), umbilical (belly button) and hiatal (upper stomach). A hernia doesn’t go away without any surgery. Non-surgical approaches such as wearing a corset, binder, or truss may exert gentle pressure on the hernia and keep it in place. These methods may ease the pain or discomfort and may be used if you are not fit for the surgery or awaiting surgery. Hernia treatment without surgery can also be done.

The Most Common forms of Hernia Are:

1. Inguinal hernia: In men, the inguinal canal is a passageway for the spermatic cord and blood vessels leading to the testicles. In women, the inguinal canal contains the round ligament that gives support for the womb. In an inguinal hernia, fatty tissue or a part of the intestine pokes into the groin at the top of the inner thigh. This is the most common type of hernia, and affects men more often than women.

2. Femoral hernia: Fatty tissue or part of the intestine protrudes into the groin at the top of the inner thigh. Femoral hernias are much less common than inguinal hernias and mainly affect older women.

3. Umbilical hernia: Fatty tissue or part of the intestine pushes through the abdomen near the navel.

4. Hiatal (hiatus) hernia: Part of the stomach pushes up into the chest cavity through an opening in the diaphragm (the horizontal sheet of muscle that separates the chest from the abdomen).

5. Incisional hernia: Tissue protrudes through the site of an abdominal scar from a remote abdominal or pelvic operation.

6. Epigastric hernia: Fatty tissue protrudes through the abdominal area between the navel and lower part of the sternum (breastbone).

7. Spigelian hernia: The intestine pushes through the abdomen at the side of the abdominal muscle, below the navel.

8. Diaphragmatic hernia: Organs in the abdomen move into the chest through an opening in the diaphragm. Hernia Cure at Home
