Heat Pump Water Heater – Next-Gen Innovation
by Vivek Choudhary Nice lifeHPWHs build up around 3 per cent of
water heaters in use. At the time of the 2019 product outline, there
were about 18 brands and about 80 divide models of HPWH on the market in India.
What is a Heat Pump Water Heater?
Heat pump water heaters take up warmness from the air and
relocate it to heat water. Hence they are also referred to as ‘air-source heat
pumps’. They run on electricity but are approximately three times more
proficient than a straight electric water heater. When used in the accurate,
they save energy, save money and diminish greenhouse gas emissions.
How does it work?
A heat pump water heater
India works on
the similar code as a refrigerator, but in its place of pumping heat out of the
fridge to maintain it cool, they pump heat into the water. Electricity is used
to pump a refrigerant from side to side of the system. The refrigerant moves
the heat absorbed during the air to the water in the tank.
Heat pumps effort
through the use of a refrigerant that evaporates at little temperatures.
There are numerous steps in the procedure:
- A liquid refrigerant passes through an evaporator where it chooses up heat from the air and becomes a gas.
- The gas refrigerant is compressed in an exciting compressor. Compressing the gas causes its temperature to augment so that it becomes hotter than the water in the tank.
- The hot gas flows into a condenser, where it passes its heat to the water and twists rear into a liquid.
- The
fluid refrigerant then flows into a development control device where its
pressure is abridged, allowing it to cool and go into the evaporator to
replicate the cycle.
